Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

We couldn't have asked for a better first Christmas as a family of 3. Both of us had it off, PLUS the week before so we were able to head to SD. We had a fun-filled week with lots of family time. We won't be going back until at least the last week of May again so it was well needed time! We came home and jumped head first back into our crazy schedules- Jeff working unpredictable hours, I worked a day and then was switched to nights for New Years, Jeff also worked New Years, then he started the Neuro rotation which has consisted of day, day, night, day, night, day, etc. and I also got rotated to nights. All in all it has all worked out due to our amazing friends helping us out (whom we will never be able to repay). Many times I ask myself is it worth it and the extreme peaceful feeling never fails to blanket me...yes, it is worth it, this is where we are suppose to be and this is what we are suppose to be doing. It never ceases to amaze me how all the 10000+ jigsaw puzzle pieces fit together in the end.

Other fun facts of the month include: Mikayla now zooming around with no limitations (including mastering the ice skating rink our floor tends to be for her), third tooth is in, new chairs for our table bought (on sale of course), second ortho resident applicant wives brunch success, plane tickets to AZ bought for the end of January, new couch found (yes, with a coupon), beautiful new niece, Sierra Leigh, healthy and strong, and Grandpa's bladder surgery done with no complications as of yet! So far so good in 2012!
