Genetic Test Results

We were called this morning by our genetic counselor to let us know that the results for the genetic tests were all normal.  Although this seems like such a small thing in the scheme of things, it is a big praise for us.  The one regarding the condition the baby has that would have been the most likely was trisomy 18, also known as Edward's Syndrome.  The outcome for a baby with this is very unfavorable and it would have also greatly increased my risk for preeclampsia after 30 weeks.  As of now there is no more risk for me carrying the baby then a normal pregnancy and for that we are very thankful for.
