Our Little Helper

Over this last month Mikayla has started really using her spoon well. She tends to favor her right hand but will also use her left as well. I say we're using this to our benefit for future practice in left handed layups but Jeff has his own thoughts of course involving hockey :-).  She also had her 15 mo check-up and... drum roll please....we are officially in double digits for our weight percentage!  Coming in at the 17th percentile with a weight of 20 lbs. I guess that food she packs away on a daily basis is finally showing! She can eat 50-75% of the amount that I eat so we are currently looking for those restraunts that have "free kids meals" deals because sharing with her is starting to leave me hungry when we go out to eat!  Our pediatrician was very happy with all aspects of her health and development.  She also is becoming a really good helper.  The other evening some friends came over for a real Korean supper (they helped us make it since both of their families are from there) so I handed Mikayla a rag and she went to town helping me clean! She also decided to help me water the flowers and garden today.  Granted this ended up with a set of wet, dirty clothes and shoes and Mikayla being watered more then the flowers but she sure did have fun!

Aiming for the bucket.
This is her new "suprise look"...mouth wide open with a little grin.
When Jeff comes home from work this is usually what he is greeted with!

Going over to give the flowers a drink of water.
