OB appt. Tuesday, Sept. 13

The initial getting to the OB appt was hectic due to this being the first day that they opened a new clinic, a miscommunication of the address on my part, and they still had the wrong address on their contact line but the appointment itself went well :).  The OB Nurse Practitioner was absolutely amazing.  We got the ground work done and kind of chuckled together since I've already been there so many other times and were back tracking on the information but it still all needed to be done to complete the process for the future which was good.  She did do a very brief u/s.  Initially when she put on the probe the baby was taking a practice breath which was really good to see.  She didn't do any specific measurements but did see some amniotic fluid still (which is what the baby was using to practice breathing) which is always such a praise for us.  The heart rate was good and the quick look at the heart chambers looked ok from what we could tell with no obvious fluid around the heart, another praise.  She didn't look very closely at the fluid around the belly since it's not her area to do so but nothing major stood out.  They want to make sure to keep a good check on my side of things since the baby is fragile and really can't take any more extra stress at this point so the next step is to do a 2 hour blood glucose test to rule out gestational diabetes, get the flu shot, and do a few other blood work tests in the next week.

Love,
Nicole
