Dr. Moore got in contact with us yesterday to talk about our case management.  He had tried calling and texting Sunday but Nicole's phone didn't work and his email for some reason went to her junk mail which she found Monday (technology can be so helpful yet so frustrating sometimes).  Saturday night he woke up thinking about our situation more and thought it might be best to admit us to the hospital, monitor the baby closely, give the steroid shots to help develop the lungs best as possible, do another in depth u/s, and meet with the team of doctors here to try and come up with a plan.  We felt like this would be a reasonable plan as well so we can try to at least be on top of everything rather then rushing if the baby became distressed and then it might be too late to allow the steroids to work.

We feel so blessed to have both sets of parents that are incredibly supportive and are willing to drop everything to help us even though they are miles away.  We are also incredibly grateful for Rachel and David who are willing to do so as well, along with many generous offers from friends and neighbors we have just met here and the understanding of Jeff's co-fellows and staff he is working with.  It's incredible how much a strong "community" can make things so much less stressful regarding the background things being taken care of so we can concentrate on doing what's best for this little one.  Nicole dropped off Mikayla this morning at school, Rachel came over to watch Malachi, Nicole's parents flew out first thing this morning, and David picked them up at the airport so we could get admitted at 11am.  At this time it sounds like it could go one of three ways: 1. We get the steroids, u/s, and monitor the baby for a little bit and if all looks stable we go get discharged in a few days. 2. We do the same but the baby looks questionable so Nicole stays in the hospital for close monitoring. 3. The baby looks distressed and it would be best to deliver. As of now we just got the paperwork, labs, etc. done and are waiting for the doctors to come in and talk to us.  We will try to keep you updated as much as possible during this time and continue to appreciate all the support and prayers.
