Happy Labor Day Weekend!
We did not have any appointments this week but did talk to Dr. Moore last weekend to get a plan in place regarding consults. He sent us two good articles regarding the two procedures that have been performed with this condition while still in the womb last Saturday night so we could make an educated decision and then had a phone conference with Jeff & I on Sunday to talk about the procedures and information he had found out from his colleagues up as UCSF and whether it would be worth it for us to go there. The overall consensus is that one of the procedures that use to be done frequently is hardly done anymore due to the risks for the baby outweighing the actual benefit of doing it in the long run. The second one is done by a doctor at Texas Children's Health but is still in the "testing" stages and our case is most likely too severe to qualify for it and again so far the risks of doing it for both baby and mom haven't proven to be of significant benefit at this time. Dr. Moore did send him an email just to talk about it more but we haven't heard back any further information so far. Unless that doctor would say something considerably different we will not be going any further places since Dr. Moore so graciously did all the background work for us before sending us physically anywhere and determined that they would suggest the same thing we are doing here which is just to watch closely, wait patiently, and pray. We know God is able to perform a miracle and continue to pray that he does but we also know He may choose not to for reasons that are not clear to us at this time since we are unable to see the big picture. We really appreciate all of your continued thoughts and prayers. We hope that you have a wonderful Labor Day weekend and are able to relax and enjoy family and friends!
Jeff & Nicole
