Ezra had a pretty good day.  He had one of his primary nurses which is helpful because she knows him well and what he likes and doesn't like. She's also very proactive and a great advocate for him which we are incredibly grateful for, especially when we aren't able to be there.  His oscillator settings were pretty much the same all day with a very slight improvement. His heart rate was on the higher side and blood pressure was on the lower side until they gave some albumin because he was intravascularly dry. They increased the amount of dialysis they dwell every hour by 5cc which is a very small amount but they want to try and prevent his peritoneal dialysis catheter from leaking again.  Dermatology and the wound nurse came up and looked at Ezra's rash and arm. The rash looks like it is possibly baby miliaria (heat rash).  They are unsure exactly what it is on his arm and have a couple of theories but as of now they are going to just keep it elevated and watch it.  It seemed to be a little better today then yesterday.  They did do an x-ray of every limb because they saw some calcification in the vessels of that arm so they were concerned that it might be throughout his body but thankfully those x-rays came back normal so this could all just be from an old peripheral IV site.   The neonatologist said he's being extra cautious on anything and everything since his case is unique, he has a lot going on, and we still don't have an official diagnosis as far as what caused all of this so they don't want to miss anything and are trying to rule out things as they come up which we appreciate.

With love,
Jeff & Nicole
