Ezra had a few bumps in the road again today with turns and his cares but overall a much more stable day then yesterday.  They were able to wean his oscillator settings a little more but he definitely tells them what he likes and doesn't like very quickly when doing so. The fluid coming out with dialysis is back to being clear and they have determined that even though it's rare in his condition Ezra does seemingly have a chyle leak. We are hoping with him being on the special formula for a few weeks and changing some things in his TPN it will heal on it's own so we don't have to do a surgical intervention.  They aren't sure if this is another congenital issue or if it happened when they put in his chest tube when he was only a day old. At this time they believe that the culture from the peritoneal dialysis was contaminated since he's not having any other clinical signs of infection, praise the Lord! He does have a new rash on his torso that we are now keeping an eye on and hoping it's just something simple such as contact dermatitis.  He also has some swelling and redness on his wrist that seems to be tissue and vascular swelling/irritation after they took an x-ray of it.  The wound nurse is suppose to be coming by first thing in the morning to assess both of these things.  His heart rate and blood pressure continue to be up and down but a little less labile then last night. Thank you all for your continued support and prayers.

With love,
Jeff & Nicole
