COVID Test & Surgery Plan
Jeff’s COVID test is negative so everything should be good to go tomorrow. The prep started this morning for Jeff. Surgery is at 11:30a (PST) so I’ll drop him off at 9:30a in the morning. Visiting hours are from 11a-7p but one visitor can only be there a total of 2 hours so we are unsure if I’ll even be able to see him after surgery. If all goes perfect the surgery will take a minimum of 4 hours.
Our hearts are aching, our minds are racing, fear is present but thanks to all the prayers and encouragement we continue to be able to keep calm and our eyes focused on God and his faithfulness through this storm. Please keep them coming, they have brought so much comfort and peace. What organs they need to take out doesn’t worry us as much as the significant difference in prognosis if it has invaded the surrounding organs. We have seen God's faithfulness and goodness when things haven’t gone the way we wanted before so we find peace in that but do ask God to find favor in that this will be contained to the kidney and pray for a miracle for it to be benign. Jeff's number one prayer request from the start is that the kids know that God is good no matter what the outcome is. The kids love singing this song in the car and we love listening to them sing it. It will be one of them that I will be listening on repeat tomorrow as I wait for the updates and we rock the heavens with prayer for my boy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jkMnq2Hfzo
