Early Morning Friday, November 18

I just got off the phone with the nurse. Ezra has had an pretty good night but they haven't done his morning care yet which is what tipped him over the edge yesterday. They were able to  come down a little on the oxygen but he is still requiring s fair amount of support and has no room or reserve for error. We really need to start dialysis but to do this we need to be able to handle the procedure to get the line placed. We are on our knees and know so many of you are also on Ezra's behalf. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you. Today could be a hard, hard day. As hard as it is for us to let go we continue to trust in God for what is best for Ezra, knowing he loves Ezra so much like we do.  Along with strength for Ezra we are praying for wisdom for the doctors, especially the hands of the surgeons if they are able to do the procedure,  and wisdom for us with decisions.  We also pray diligently that he would make it through the procedure and that the line would work to be able to do dialysis. Ezra is a little fighter and we hope and pray that God allows him to continue this fight but also know that  ultimately God's plan is the best plan even during this time of pain. Our hope is Christ alone.

Mikayla and Malachi got to meet their little brother yesterday. We are so thankful we got time to be together as a family of 5.

With love,
Jeff & Nicole
