Monday Afternoon, Nov. 28th

Ezra's oscillator settings are higher then we want and we unfortunately just had to increase it again. His peritoneal dialysis catheter drainage cleared up so we are hoping that still means no infection! They are sending a culture of it again to make sure. They had questioned whether the kidney function had started working again but after an u/s and labwork it appears that it hasn't yet but we continue to pray for that as well.

As I sit in his room this afternoon and look at the oscillator settings and his vital signs it's hard not to get impatient.  But then it hit me how blind I have become. The fact that we are still here, praying for healing and a miracle, is a miracle in itself.  Not to mention that the peritoneal dialysis is still working when we've had so many doubts and scares.  So my prayers have now changed from frustration to thankfulness and appreciation that I am able to be sitting here getting frustrated and impatient.

They are starting visitor restrictions tomorrow due to the flu season and rsv so unfortunately no one, including Mikayla & Malachi, will be able to come visit except for Jeff & I. Although it's a bummer in some regards we can also appreciate not wanting to expose him or others to any other things then what these tiny little ones are already dealing with.
