Ezra has had a busy morning but a stable one. They were able to wean down the ventilator settings ever so slightly, take out the chest tube, change the dressing on the peritoneal dialysis catheter, and do an echocardiogram (which we are still waiting the results for).  They will rule out a clot at the end of the PICC line but the clot that was seen yesterday was accidentally told to us wrong and appears to be on the outside of the liver. We will continue to watch his liver panel labs but so far they have been unaffected by it. They are going to do a repeat ultrasound today to look more closely at it. They are also going to start some more feeding today to try and increase his nutrition. The peritoneal dialysis catheter is still working well so far and his labs are starting to slowly trend down into normal range. The head u/s they did yesterday came back normal.

We have much to be thankful for. Being "stable" is one of them yet at the same time being very aware that at any moment that can change so just enjoying and not taking for granted every hour and day we have with him. We are very grateful for the medical team here and all the amazing support and prayers from all of you.  We continue to be in constant prayer for healing and growing of Ezra's lungs so they can sustain life but that God's will ultimately be done.

With love,
Jeff & Nicole
